Chief fINANCIAL OFFICER

Ed Thatcher is the Chief Financial Officer for MHTCA and has a robust background in accounting and information systems specific to the behavioral health field. Prior to working at MHTCA, Ed was the CFO of one of the largest behavioral health billing companies in the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Ed brings a wealth of expertise and strategic insight to his role, driving financial success and operational efficiency within MHTCA.

Outside of the office, Ed is an avid tennis enthusiast who enjoys both playing and attending professional tennis events. He finds relaxation in walking the vibrant streets of Las Olas, blending his passion for the good dining with the lively atmosphere of the city. His dynamic interests reflect his balanced approach to work and leisure, making him a well-rounded and engaging individual.

Andrea McShane

Chief Operations OFFICER

Andrea McShane, the Chief Operating Officer of MHTCA, brings a wealth of experience
and a diverse educational background to her role. She completed her undergraduate  studies at Stonehill College before earning a Master of Social Work from Florida State
University and an MBA from the University of Florida. McShane’s career trajectory includes a notable tenure as COO at Universal Health Services (UHS), where she
honed her skills in operational leadership and strategic planning. Since joining MHTCA
in 2021, she has been instrumental in driving the organization’s mission forward with her expertise in both healthcare and business management.

Originally from New England, McShane has embraced the Florida sunshine, reflecting
her appreciation for both her roots and her current environment. Her journey from the Northeast to the Southeast underscores a commitment to professional growth and
adaptability, qualities that have significantly contributed to her success in the healthcare sector. At MHTCA, McShane continues to leverage her extensive background to enhance operational efficiency and foster a positive organizational culture.

Eddie Waddington

Chief Marketing Officer

Eddie Waddington, Chief Marketing Officer at MHTCA, brings a rich and diverse
background to his role, marked by significant achievements in the behavioral health
field. Eddie began his career in 2011 in admissions and quickly expanded his expertise
to encompass business development and client care. As a founding employee of a
behavioral health organization in Pennsylvania, he played a pivotal role in its growth
from 2011 to 2016. He then moved to the DMV area, where he was instrumental in
establishing the market for the first freestanding detox facility in Maryland, further
showcasing his ability to drive market expansion.

In 2019, Eddie transitioned to California, where he successfully launched a partial
hospitalization program while expanding the market reach of 2 existing residential sites, generating the second-largest regional revenue stream within just ten months for the organization. His exceptional performance led to a promotion as VP of Admissions for a multi-site organization before he joined MHTCA in 2021. At MHTCA, Eddie leverages his extensive experience to enhance marketing strategies and expand the organization’s brand presence, reflecting his commitment to advancing behavioral health services across diverse markets.

James MacKnight

Sr. Director Of Admissions

James MacKnight, Sr. Director of Admissions at MHTCA, has built a distinguished career in the behavioral health field through a series of rapid advancements and leadership roles. Starting as an Admissions Coordinator for a multi-site organization, James demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication, leading to multiple promotions within just four years. His journey from Overnight Manager to Daytime Manager and eventually to Director of Business Development Admissions highlights his ability to excel in various facets of admissions and business development.

In 2022, James brought his extensive experience to MHTCA, where he now oversees
admissions responsibilities across all sites. His deep understanding of admissions operations and his proven track record of successful leadership make him a key asset to MHTCA, where he continues to apply his wealth of knowledge to enhance and streamline the admissions process. James’s commitment to improving client experiences and optimizing operational efficiency underscores his significant role within the organization.
